The following waste chemicals are eligible for collection during AWPC events:
Properly rinsed, empty plastic pesticide containers
Pesticides
Insecticides
Fungicides
Rodenticides
Nematicides
Bactericides
Growth regulators
Harvest aid chemicals
Pesticides used on livestock
Agricultural related items that are collected include paint, power steering fluid, oil, gasoline, oil filters, fluorescent bulbs, grease, lead-acid batteries, transmission fluid, brake fluid, diesel fuel, and other miscellaneous pesticides.

Comments: The management and proper disposal of pesticide wastes is costly and complicated for the agricultural and rural communities in Texas. AWPC events were developed as an outreach program to help agricultural producers properly dispose of pesticide wastes thereby removing these chemicals for the environment.

Description: An informational meeting on the NO2 NAAQS will be hosted at the Austin Headquarters and video teleconferenced to the five areas in which the EPA is requiring NO2 near-road monitors. Currently, all of Texas is designated attainment. Informal comments on the designation recommendation will be accepted until October 1, 2010. At the November 12, 2010 work session, the commissioners will consider the 2010 NO2 NAAQS designation recommendation. State designation recommendations are due to the EPA on January 10, 2011.

Description: This annual seminar offers updates of rules and regulations in the TCEQ's Water Quality Division to an ever-changing customer base in the regulated community. This seminar details the application and technical review of municipal, industrial, storm water, CAFO and sludge permits. The permitting process is explained in detail and staff answers questions. This exchange helps bring in more accurate permit applications and expedites permitting time frames. There are also updates on homeland security, reclaimed water, pretreatment, and environmental management systems.
