The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) today
approved penalties totaling $706,352 against 69 regulated entities
for violations of state environmental regulations.
Agreed orders were issued for the following enforcement
categories: Two agricultural, 17 air quality, three dry cleaner,
one Edwards Aquifer, three field citations (petroleum storage
tank), one industrial or hazardous waste, four industrial waste
discharge, five multi-media, four municipal solid waste, 10
municipal waste discharge, six petroleum storage tank, eight public
water system, and one water quality. In addition, there were
default orders issued for the following categories: two dry
cleaner, and two licensed irrigators.
The TCEQ's next agenda meeting is scheduled for April 2. Agenda
