The TMDL Program works to restore Texas water bodies that have
limited quality in relation to one or more of their assigned uses
(such as recreation, fishing, or healthy aquatic environment).
This page provides information about projects of the TMDL
Program organized by major river or coastal basin. Texas has 25
major basins, including the extraterritorial waters of the Gulf of
Mexico over which the state has jurisdiction. See
Hydrography Maps and Data for geographic and other information
about the major river basins.
