Used Oil: Am I Regulated?

You must register with or report to the TCEQ (or both) if you are:

  • a do-it-yourselfer and transport more than 55 gallons of your own used oil
  • not a do-it-yourselfer and transport more than 55 gallons used oil
  • a used oil collection center
  • a used oil handler or manager
  • a used oil marketer
