Adopted Changes to the Petroleum Storage Tank (PST) Rules

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has revised its rules with regard to the Petroleum Storage Tank Program. This page explains what changes were adopted.

What Changed?

The TCEQ adopted changes to the Petroleum Storage Tank (PST) rules in Title 30 Texas Administrative Code (TAC), Chapter 334, Subchapter A, Subchapter D, and Subchapter H. Exit TCEQ

What Is the Status of These Changes?
  • At the October 18, 2006 Agenda, the proposed rules were adopted by the commission.
  • The adopted rules were published in the November 3, 2006 Texas Register and became effective November 9, 2006.
Why These Changes?

The adoptive changes to the Petroleum Storage Tank Reimbursement rules in 30 TAC Chapter 334 incorporate statutory changes made in the 79th legislative session.

How Were These Changes Developed?

Comments and recommendations for improvements to these rules were solicited from interested and affected persons at meetings of the PST Rules Advisory Group.
