Offers administrative and technical support and coordinates the development and implementation of the Texas Groundwater Protection Strategy (PDF - Help with PDF) and the interagency Texas Groundwater Protection Committee , including program coordination, monitoring coordination, water quality assessment, special projects, and public participation and outreach.

Each year, the Texas Groundwater Protection Program, in collaboration with the Texas Groundwater Protection Committee, prepares a report on groundwater monitoring and contamination as required by Texas Water Code 26.406 .
